Thanks for all the nice words! If I didn't need to get paid...it's all I'd require!

Mark, Do this for a living. Did it for 6 years back in the 80's then designed a product that spawned 3 companies and did that for about 15 years. Always wanted to carve again. Finally said life is too short, sold out of those companies and got back into it about 3 years ago. Now I whistle while I work instead of taking TUMMS while I work! HA!

Used to compete when I first started. Won some Best of Shows, ribbons, etc. but I got tired of the judges hammering a carver if they had one less primary feather (for instance) than a bird is actually supposed to have. Nature isn't perfect, and who's to say one didn't fall out! Happens all the time. Whoops! Don't get me started! ha So now I just carve for private collectors. Word of mouth. Has worked thus far, although I am looking at kicking it up a few notches here soon.
