Default Fawn

I carved this Sunday on my job site from rescued fire wood hickory. I am not sure of my paint wash but I will leave it outside in the weather and maybe that will tone it down. I only used 3 tools or 5 if you count a mallet and a jaw horse. It took me around 6 hours including the half jazz paint job.

Nice one Don. I am impressed with the little time taken to complete the carving and painting.

I can’t fool around with a carving unless I am really into it I get bored quickly. I make bold cuts with large gouges my #1 gouge is my 1 1/4” #6 sweep fishtail. If I had to pick only 4 gouges mine would be 3/8” #11 sweep, 1” #10 sweep, 1 ¼” #3 sweep, 1 ¼”# 6 sweep, bent ¾” V tool.
