Default Decoy Carving Sign

My most recent endeavor... Thought it might be neat to make a shop sign for over my workbench, the way some people have them with saws, hammers, etc. Here's the two versions: pre-antiquing, and post-. Half-size mallard drake made of basswood and painted with acrylics.

Hi Doug,

Thanks. Maybe I should have explained better. They're my initials.

Mark,
I use to hear my dad say he was going to hang up a shingle and start a work shop. I believe I wood hang one up outside your shop as well as over the bench. They are both very neat.

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark

Hi Mark D,

I don't really carve for sales, just for my own enjoyment and for gifts sometimes. I thought the sign would be a nice piece to hang over my workbench just for the heck of it.

I really enjoyed making it. Maybe someday the business will really be there, and I'll "really" have time to dedicate to it as much as I'd like.

Thanks for looking, and for your comments!

Mark K

Hi Mark, nice sign, I don't think that you need a reminder that you do carvings, but nice job and surely will dress up your shop. Merle
