Isn't it great Bob? Octavia is a beautiful girl! Of course you already know that eh?
The birds are nicely carved and painted. Nothing wrong with Grampie catering to his Granddaughter.

Hey Bob, good job on the Chickadee. When the family gets a look at that chickadee you will have to make more. Christmas is coming.

Nice bird, Bob...nice granddaughter, too!

Next thing you need to carve for her is a nice wood flute - great way to please the grandchildren and get even with your own kids!

I'm jealous! Both grandpas died long before I was born so I never had a "grampie".

Jillsy... there's a lot of grampies here, go ahead pick one to adopt......

Both of my grampas died before I was born, it was somewhat a "burn" huh?
Hi Ho Sliver is rich by the way.

Thanks Art!

And it didn't help that one of my grandmother's died when I was 5 so the only thing I remember about her is salt water taffy and marshmallow fluff! The only surviving granparent died when I was 20, but alas, I know people on this board more than I ever knew her!!

So anyone willing to be an honorable grandpa, just let me know. (Except Whitecree, he's more like the crazy uncle nobody talks about!!)

Jillys ,
Not sure I am old enough...

But did I ever tell you when I was a boy how I had to walk 20 miles in the snow barefoot to get to school ... and that we had to wait 20 years for a school bus ...

I know now you'll run to Hi-Ho going for the money .... jeeze ... still not old enough

Ash

I found a bunch of web sites a while back for making flutes, but I didn't bother bookmarking them. A new search found
http://www.flutetree.com/nature/InsideNAPF.html
and also this one
http://www.dbeweb.com/kayak/pages/flute.html
which has several links to other flute-making pages.

Hope this helps you.
