Oh Dylan! Once again, you've outdone yourself. That is so beautiful.
Dito on all said...the finish, the burning, the use of wood....all very much the work of an expert carver....Geez, I can't imagine how much your carving will improve in the years to come.
It's a privaledge to see your work.

Just saw this , Great carving and excellent painting !

I don't know if your aware or not but the box turtle is now considered an endangered species. Many states now have some very massive fines for the capture of a box turle, or confinement of one. something that could survive DDT can't survive the automobile. (listed as one of the main causes for the demise of the box turtle)
