RV, back in '97 we spent the entire summer from May to Sept in Alaska and fished the Kenai quite a bit. Caught a few Dolly Varden and thought they were big brookies till I got told otherwise. A couple guys said they weren't any good eating, but one fella said to cook them right away and they would be fine. I did and they were more than fine; a mild flavored, fine textured enjoyable meal! Of course the reds were great too.

Thanks again for all the kind words. I made this pattern from a photo in the Duluth Tribune sports section a few years ago. Tried my best to duplicate the colors from the photo and thought I came pretty close, but boy, matching colors and patterns on a fish is a project in itself. An interesting experiment in hues and shades.

Thanks again

Al
