Default Caught a Brook Trout

Here's a mount of a brookie I just finished. Basswood on a stained basswood oval. Painted in acrylics and finished with Krylon spray satin.

Criticism welcome.

Al

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone. Al, I'm not familiar with Arctic Char....have to go and look it up. This one isn't a full body carving...maybe just over half body, enough to get the dorsal fin and pelvic fins away from the mount. The head and tail are turned very slightly out too to give some definition. I just couldn't see carving and painting a full body, then mounting it on a board.

Just great. Really. That's all I need to see what with winter blizzards dragging on.
That inspires me to wet a line as soon as I can, come spring.
