Default Carving the Snowy Owl

Hi, I am trying to find a tutorial on carving the snowy owl. Has anyone seen something like this?

Bofur70...Wildfowl Carving Magazine has an article in the most recent issue, FALL 2007. Part 1 - Carving. Part 2 - Painting will be in the Winter 2008 issue.
This is a miniature.
Keith Mueller has an excellent project book on carving and painting the Snowy Owl, published by Stackpole books, but you can buy it thru Fox Chapel:
Miniature Snowy Owl
A great reference for the Snowy Owl, as well as the Red and Gray Screech Owl, is Denny Roger's The Illustrated Owl - Screech and Snowy
It isn't a how-to, but it does have most everything you would need for anatomy reference.
Hope this helps!

Another good place to find reference pictures for Snowy Owls is on falconry forums. I'm a moderator on a site called Falconry s. We don't have many snowy owl owners on there, but they do have pictures of a great many other birds You may have more luck finding pictures of Snowy Owls on the International Falconry Forum

The latest issue of Wildfowl Carving Magazine has an article on carving a small Snowy Owl. Quite well done I thought. Please let us know how you make out with your owl, we love to see works in progress.
