Congrats to AL on his win. I am looking forward to seeing what the falcons do in August.

Paul four of my five students drive more than an hour every Saturday morning for the carving session. They are a dedicated group.

You are way to modest Hugh, it's quite obvious that your abilities as a carver and instructor are reflected by your students work. If they had someone who had half the ability that you have it would also show in their work.....it's impossible to soar like a Eagle when your surrounded by Turkeys.

It's always a great feeling when a student of yours does well in competition, kudo's to you and your students Hugh, well done.

Well, I'm glad you re-instated the post. I saw it and didn't have time to comment. I better get this one in quick, eh?...just in case. :-)

All very impressive work!!! Really, really good stuff. Open mouth on the Mergy no less! Two thumbs up for the students and... the teacher.

Well I'm pleased to hear all of this, the girls wanted to carve the Peregrine, and I didn't think that they could do, but they talked me into it. I'm sure you understand the time and effort that they put in. Thanks

Well,Hugh I have to say,I wished you were closer as I would attend one of your seminars on a heart beat. The signature of a great instructor is just that, instruct, instruct and more instructions and don't touch your students work and this shows in your students results. Thank you for sharing not only the process of your carving and that of your students.

Well, Nancy, I live across the County right next to the Pacific Ocean, let's see if I were to leave tomorrow morning and drive all day and night for two days I might be in MN by Wednesday evening so be ready. But I think I will be to sleepy and tired to pay attention during Hugh's instructions. Well it was a good thought, maybe we can convince Hugh to put on a class, some where between MN & Rhoad Island, because I plan on being in Rhode Island by June.

However we will just have to be satisfied with Huge's fantastic carvings and tips he has always be glad to share with us.
