Tony, Just not burning over the stoning that I did. I think it's going to give it a softer look but...we shall see! Scary!!!!!!! HA!

Hi Folks Just thought I'd let you know that I carved a couple of feathers and burned them before and after I sealed them. The big thing I noticed was the ones I burned after sealing was that it really loaded up my burning pen.I kept getting burnt particles in my burn lines. So much for that idea, I'll stick to sealing after I burn. Thanks for all the replies (this was my first post). I've got a few more questions for later.

I know there has been a couple times where I have thought that I finished a bird (texturing) and was a little anxious to start painting. After I sealed it and put the gesso on I noticed a couple areas that needed a touch up or a little more work. Something on the bird that is non toxic would make you feel a little better about going back over it!
