Question Broken feet?

Hello,
I'm not a wood carver, but from scanning your many helpful posts I might be one soon. My problem is - mysteriously my favorite chicadee wood carving by "MGW (M.Weimer?) has broken feet UnHappy. I think it could be attributable to the houseful of company we had for Thanksgiving. I've tried super gluing the legs/feet, but no luck. Should I try to find new feet, and where can I find them, or does anyone have a good idea for repair? Thank you.

dsimonis,

I moved your post to the section for Bird and Animal carving as more "experts" are likely to see it here....and you'll get better responses.

Are the feet wood or made from another material? Also, if possible, a picture would be most helpful.

I have come across several sites that sell metal feet for a whole assortment of birds.

HI, and welcome! I have good luck at MDI Woodcarving supply - they have a great website. You can get cast pewter feet there - specify you want Chicadee feet. You then will have to paint them and glue them into the bird. That'd be alot easier than making them yourself. Good luck!
