Arn't those feet the bomb! I wish I could make them look that good in and hour but these are Richard Delise cast pewter alloy with wire through the leg for strength. I do make feet for birds that have difficult pose postures but these feet fit the bill and saves time . When I make feet ill use copper wire .Ill form a leg and foot solder it together then use ribbon epoxy to form the fleshy toes usually its an all day process and the finished feet in my case usually never look as good as a cast foot.

I bought a large quanity of cast feet and sell them .You can also find cast feet at fur and feathers and The woodchip Shop

I made one last year, however, I made the feet also and did not use cast feet. It did good in competition.

Thanks I plan on doing all the quail and grouse species in North America .
I did a Pheasant miniature a while back and I may do more Minis they are alot less wood to move around .

Nice job on the quail. The feather work, especially detail around the head, looks very good. Looking forward to seeing the paint job.
