| | Bluejay Grosbeak Feeder Haven,t posted in a long time,i just finished this piece for a customer,he has seen these two birds together at his feeder, and ordered it this way,the bird feeder is hand made, with real bird seed glued in,both birds are lifesize, this is a first for me,carving a piece like this, and it gave me some good ideas for future projects, milford.

| | Re: Bluejay Grosbeak Feeder WOW your work is excellent! I love the idea of using real bird seed and not trying to duplicate with paint.

| | Re: Bluejay Grosbeak Feeder Terrific, good composition and "feathering". Are the feet hand made or lead, oils or acrylic?

| | Re: Bluejay Grosbeak Feeder thanks fellow carvers,it always helps to have comments on a piece of work,GOOD OR BAD,it makes me try a little harder on the next piece.
jax,the feet are hand done, paper clips filed on one end,and epoxy putty wrapped around the wire, then i just use epoxy glue to set each toe,and then fill any gaps with a little more putty, then paint em.
i should be keeping in touch more often on this forum,a great bunch of artists on here,THANKS.
