Default Bluegill

Hi,
After all the nice comments and some very good constructive critique, I have decided to post a couple pics of my first blugill that I carved last year. Any comments and critique sure would be welcome. Note: This carving isn't 100% complete as I still need to add a crawfish.
Thanks,
Foamer

Foamer,
Great looking bluegill. Like the carving and the painting. Did you airbrush this.
Thanks for sharing.

Safe carving and God Bless,

Mark

I was raised on bluegills and that one definitely works for me. Beautiful job all around! I too wonder about your painting technique. Also curious how you did the forward part of the dorsal (spiny section with the membrane btwn spines).

Absolutely stunning! It amazes me how I can even see light reflecting off of scale separation in front of the dorsal.

I too was raised fishing for panfish in Michigan so this carving just blows me away!

Have you, or will you in the future, carve a Black Calico ("Crappie"?)
If so, I'd love to see it!

Foamer,
He looks like you just pulled him from the water, fantastic job! Being an avid pan-fisherman, it makes me hungry for bluegill, gonna have to get a bag out of the freezer. Thanks for sharing.
