Dremels with a small sanding drum can do this also.
Again, safety first in mind.

I worked in the mill in the machine shop. I was using the hugest drill press I'd ever seen. I had gloves on. The shop safety man came over and shut the drill press off. He warned me in a very friendly manner to never use any gloves when using power tools and to roll up my long sleeve shirt and cut my hair very short. I followed his instuctions and never got hurt. Another time at a different mill I was using a straightener and I had forgotten the rules. The glove I was wearing somehow got caught and pulled my thumb, index, and middle finger into the machine. I was lucky. A fellow came to help me and reversed the machine and got my fingers out ok. Any tool is dangerous whether it is a motorized machine or just a carving knife. I've been chewed on by most all of them.

I just tried to put a photo from my camera on Picture Trail. I do not know if anyone can see them or not? Please let me know. Thanks, Jim : http://www.picturetrail.com/members/edit?p=27

Hi Al, I really can't say I know what I'm doing when I am trying to post pictures. I tried to follow the directions on Photo Trail and Imagestation. I don't really know if anyone can see the pictures? I tried to post my pictures on Epson too. I guess I'll have to try again? Lol. I am not an expert at anything but eating chicken soup! Jim :

Hi dart, viewed your pictures just fine. I had to join picture trail to view them, but that was no problem. You have a very good shape to your carving.
