There are many books available that have bear patterns...it all depends on what you want (i.e. position...standing, sitting, - caricature or true to life, etc.). I have a few different ones I can send you, again depending on what you want...I may or may not have it.

Terry, I carved a bear couple years back, bought a pattern from Gordon Stiller Patterns, wasn't expensive, and there are different sizes to choose from.

When I started doing Black Bears I went on line and printed a picture then went from there,good luck and happy carving.

i went to micheals and bought a toy black bear and a cub and made my patterns from them then sized to what i wanted. also usful to have the "model" sitting in front of you
