Default Bison head pattern
HI folks, I need a decent pattern to roughout a Bison head. Anyone have one or know where I can purchase a roughout or pattern? TY

Go to Google, put "bison" in the search field. When the page of links comes up, click on Images in the upper left corner. The next page that comes up has photos and drawings of thousands of bison. Pick a couple you like, copy them to your desktop, adjust the sizes to fit the block of wood you have (or intend to buy), print the photos, glue to the block with rubber cement and start carving... You can cut around the figure in the photos on a bandsaw, if you have one - just cut through the paper.

Gordon Stiller has some patterns of Bison you can order, and he also has a pattern of a buffalo skull I really like. And the price is fair. Good Luck!!

Seriously, another place for animal pictures from all over the world is fieldandstream.com.
That's the first place I look.
eg: needed to see what fish looked like with the photo taken underwater to show the underside of the surface of the water. Ideas eventually became the background painting for The Fish Door.

I have seen molded rubber bison at craft stores (Hobby Lobby, Michaels) and also at Tractor Supply. They look good and you could compare them to the photos from Google. Dick
