Smile Bird Decoys - Lucky me

I want to show you two of the Christmas gifts I received from my CATS (take that Al Archie ) The sanderling is by David Rhodes and the green wing teal by Jamie Hand, both of New Jersey.

Thumbs up Re: Bird Decoys - Lucky me

Nice presents
I admire the work of bird and decoy carvers
I do not have the patience to carve the feathers or paint the feathers

Now just where did your cats get the money to get you presents like that?

Wayne - both of these decoys are "gunners" so they don't have any carved feathers ... they're very smooth. Dave's birds have REMARKABLE painting - lots of detailed feather painting.
Jamie's birds have a minimum amount of painting - just the main colors blocked in but the end effect is dynamite.
Gunner decoys are made for use -- to hunt over. Yeah sure, you betcha. I'm gonna' get these birds wet and dirty so I can shoot a duck.
Not this year.
And our cats get anything they want.
