Default Belted Kingfisher

Just finished this female Kingfisher. My first attempt at a Kingfisher.

Nice work Paul. The bird looks great and the habitat is very appropriate. I am especially interested in the exploded cattails as I have done some work in that area. Whatever technique you are using you have achieved a very realistic look. Thanks for posting.

Nice job all around. Is the clear water just a puddle of epoxy or something more exotic. I wondered too about the exploded cattails (have seen Tom Park's excellent article - but haven't worked anything up yet).
