 Re: Author of chickadee carving in last holiday issue There was a chickadee pin carved by George Calef in the last issue. Is that what you are refering to? To my knowledge, he does not have any other published articles. I am sure that BobD could get you in touch with him....or he may be a member and send you a message. | Re: Author of chickadee carving in last holiday issue I should have clarified that. I meant the 2004 issue. It was a sleeping black-capped chickadee that had a horizontal hole low in the body so it can be put on your Christmas tree as an ornament. I looked in Fox Chapel's books but no names look familiar. I spoke to the man once on the type of paint he used. I am interested in his book that was to be published this year. I do not kno if the patterns in this book were to be used for ornaments or not. Hope that book is coming. I tried to bring up the contents of the books listed here at this site, but was unsuccessful. Just wanted to see what birds were listed. the Finn |
