Thanks Randy, very nice compliments. The one thing in my favour where the years of working as a professional artist it gave me a unfair advantage over most carvers when it comes time to paint. Thats why I started with Smoothies. We have all seen great carvings that have the correct anatomy, good texturing and detailing and then it gets a mediochre paint job due to lack of experience and technique......At least in the bird carving category. If anyone is really interested in painting techniques I would be honoured to share what knowledge I have with all who ask.....just send me a personal message and we can hook-up via e-mail.
