Default Animal totem

Yes it me again and guess what no woodspirit. I have a commission to carve an animal totem for a gentleman's 40th birthday. He evidently is a wildlife enthusiast and spends may hours a week caring for wildlife that has been hurt. The ladies that requested it wanted a beaver and a deer at least. The totem stands just over four feet tall. It is made out of white cedar. I have roughed in a beaver, deer, bear, and owl. This is just the first hours work now the detail will take form. I intend to put artificial eyes in to give it a little more realism. It has a long way to go just thought I would show you the start.

I'm keen on seeing how it goes Colin - something I always wanted to try is a totem pole...perhaps more of a Native theme. You've taken on quite a project. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the nice comments I will update as soon as I get more done. I am busy, busy with tree commissions in Toronto so this has been put on hold until the weekend and then I have to finish it because I am carving all next week again. So should be able to finish it or come close by the end of the weekend.

It sounds like you don't know which direction to run my friend. Can't wait to see the finished totem.
