Default Animal Carving - giraffe pattern wanted

Hi, This is my first post ever on a message board. Yikes! Gotta start somewhere. I'm trying to find a resource for good animal drawings or photos that I can use as reference for carving. I'd like to scale/copy correct proportions and I don't trust my drawing ability. The project I have in mind right now is a giraffe that will stand about 15". I'm hoping this won't be a lengthy project. Any leads or advice would be appreciated. Leo

I use google images for a reference only I make my own plan and drawing. I don't get too wrapped around the axel trying to make something look like the real thing you got to put your artistic stank on it. Thats just me.

I agree with Don; Google images will have lots of photos. Another source is right here on the forum. Go back to Message Boards, then scroll all the way to the bottom and click on Reference Photos.

I changed your title to add the word "giraffe".... with that change, you can look in "Similar Threads" at the bottom of the page and see threads with that key word in the title.

Those MAY help.

Thanks for your input. You're right on. Te effort of producing one's own pattern only helps to create an execute nicework. I guess I wuz just being a bit lazy. Thanks for re-directing me. Leo
