You know of course the simplest fish to start with is the one that has been drawn for almost 2 thousand years....

the Christian sign of the fish , simple , and an easy project to do as a first carving .

Wow! How'd you get that fish to stay still out of water long enough to get his picture?

Great carving Dave! You got me beat hands down! Thanks!

Any suggestions on what kind of fish would be good to start with? I've never done one either so it would have to be pretty basic. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated. He's talked about this for a while, but I think he's already got it in his head that he can't do it. I think once he starts though, he'll find it's not as difficult as it appears.

Thanks!
