Default Added a couple new pics

I added two photos to the wildlife album at Picturetrail. Â*These are older carvings, but I don't think I've posted the pics before. Â*First one is a crawdad, in dark coloration. Â*I'm working on another now that I think I'll do in the Manitowish River green configuration. Â*The brook trout was done in birdseye maple and sold last year. Â*I found another piece of nice birdseye and will try to get two more similar to this one over winter. Â*The leaves were done in brass and traeted with a green metal chemical.

Very nice Al...the colors of the crawdad are something else!
Be sure to let us see the other one when you get it done.

Nice work Al. How many of those brookies did you catch this year? Kind of miss the northern trout fishing. Down here they stock browns and rainbow in a few streams, but they're not much for catching. A 8 or 9 inch Yooper brookie puts up more of a fight then a 3 1/2 pound rainbow here, and a 2 pound brown is like reeling in a piece of stick!

Wish I could say 'A bunch', but unfortunately I didn't even get out brookie fishing once this year, although my intentions were good.

You're right, though, about them being one of the best fighters there are, pound for pound.....or is it ounce for ounce? I guess a river small mouth will rate right up there and maybe even surpass a brookie, but who's to argue?

Next year...........

Al
