The sleeping Avocet looks like the one Lori Corbett was working on last year.

Thanks again Bill, I've been off the site all day, thought it was to be shut down. Looked at the photos, and enjoyed them. Might be able to make it myself next year. Thanks again.

I consider myself lucky to be located here in the Ozarks....something of a hotbed for woodcarving. But, my dream is visiting Maryland in the spring.....at least that's what I tell my wife. Of course it's incidental that there happens to be a woodcarving show of some sort at that time!

I envy you your location.

What a wonderful array of carving skill and birds. Thanks for sharing those pic with us, you are a lucky lad, for getting to see those in person. My poor wife would have a terrible time getting me out of there, if I went! Perhaps, it's better that we do live so far away.

Thanks for posting these... this is my favorite show/event every year!

I have about 350 pictures that I will post, but I haven't even gotten them off of the memory cards yet!

Bob, being a bird enthusiast, you should really try to make this show some time... it is wonderful.

You could always visit the Ward Museum in nearby Salisbury, Maryland. It's only about 30 miles from O.C. It is a MUST SEE when you are in the area as well!

Hey BoB D

I think this is an excellent thread to show reference to what Hugh has posted about master bird carvers. Perhaps making it a sticky would be approprate ?

Ash

Thanks for the pics , amazing work .
