Default 1st Post & 1st Carving

Hi All
I have been reading all the posts for some time now and decided I should post my self. This is my first piece and I think I got a bit carried away, one of the difficulties I have is obtaining clean cuts when the grain is moving in all directions and getting fluffy. This is cut from yellow poplar then fell in my garden.

1st carving! Well, that's just the kind of talent that is so much fun to wake up to and see first thing in the morning.
Wonderful piece!
I do look forward to seeing more from you.

Wow, awesome first one out of the box and somewhat of non traditional carving wood as well. Good show!

Hello and welcome, Traydaloor. It's nice to have you here with us. Very nice carving despite the grain problems.
