What kind of compound do you use: stick, powder, paste ?

What brand or type: White Gold, Yellowstone, White Diamond, Yellow Gold, rouge, tripoli, green, Blue Velvet etc. ?

The green stuff - chromium oxide, I think. But I also use the stuff from Flexcut that comes with their slipstrop.

Dave, I like the Tormek PA 70 paste. Aluminum oxide, and easy to apply to your strop.

Motto's White Gold aluminum oxide, but I also use the Flexcut Yellow Gold A.O. that came with my slipstrop. I haven't tried anything else other than some white, green, and red stuff I got with some buffing wheels at Harbor Freight.

My favorite is a 220 grit gray stick about 3 x 3 x 8 inches. It is made for polishing stainless steel.
