One of my all time favorites is a about a six inch tall, standing horse that I did when I was about nine. However, I broke of the fourth leg and it made the wood pile after that. Another that is in the running is a cigar store Native American, about 18' tall. Unfortunately, I put its head about a quarter inch (an eighth??) to one side and that is the first thing my lovely wife noticed when she saw it. Now it is the first thing I notice as well. I'm quite a carver.

My favorite is a small carousel horse. Its all carved except for the head which after twelve years still sits on my window sill...headless.

A mahogany cane w/ grapes about 2/3 from top. shaft looks like a bamboo shaft. I'm working on one with tree frogs climbing up it. Also out of mahogany. I found two 3'x3'x8foot pieces at the port in savannah when i was there last time. It's wonderful to carve.
