Default Are you up for a challenge?

Back when I was a newbie here on this site.. there would be a challenge thrown out every now and then. (remember the Jenga block) Someone would toss out some specifics and others would carve what they wanted to fit those specifics and then do a show and tell. They help a beginner to use their imagination , think outside of the box ,or to start their first project, or just be finally able to post to either show and tell or ask how another carver how they did their project.

So. How about a Challenge?

Carve something out of wood thats under the 4 inch mark. Simple enough..but... your project needs to have something 'green' on it. With St. Patricks day just around the corner we need 'green'. Whether its green eyes, green vest, clover, green grass, green cap... anything... as long as its green. It doesnt have to be painted.. just resemble something we know as 'green' in color.

To all you newbies that have joined lately... jump in and join the fun!!

How about it folks? Are you game to this challenge?

I'm not going to put a deadline on this. Just because this post can be brought back up again with a new post of someone who finished one and wants to show and tell it.

Marcia.

Right.. Under 4 inches, and something green on it. And as many as you want to do.

OK Marci. I'm in. The Jenga Block challenge was one of the first things I did, and it was a lot of fun.

I'll give it a shot. No idea what I might do, but the wheels are spinning......

Yay... I'm glad to see your wanting to take on the Challenge. I didnt put a time limit on this because I'd like to see some newbies join in and I dont want them to feel rushed. I'd like to see them enjoy this and show when they are ready.

Those of us who carve faster and have alot more time on our hands.. keep making and showing as many as you want. We all love eye candy.

Tom, I didnt play with the Jenga block idea. But I did carve a bunch of your little mini walking stick challenge. I couldnt mail out to share , but I did use them for pencil toppers !

I hope others who think of a Challenge will post it. And we can work on that one too.

Marcia.
