Default You know you're addicted to carving when. . . . . .

The weather here in Michigan is rapidly changing. Time now, to move my studio back indoors. As I gathered my things looking around, I delved into how many carving idiosyncrasies I've developed over the years. So here's a few of mine. Feel free to add yours to the list. I'll gather them up and post them together.
Have some fun with this.

You know you're addicted to carving when;

1.) you gather your chips to mulch your perennial beds.

2.) you save ALL scraps in a bucket to scrounge thru later.

3.) your ever increasing knife collection is razor sharp and her kitchen knives wouldn't shave a cucumber.

4.) you buy basswood in bulk..

I'm movin in too! Here's a few!

The lint trap on your dryer is always full of chips.

No one even mentions it anymore when they discover a wood chip in their underware.

Since I carve in found wood only, everywhere I go I'm always looking at dead trees, kinda drives my wife a little nuts pointing out all the ugly dead trees, and at 60+ miles per hour it could be a little dangerous. Majority of people are happy to have someone clean up their deadfalls and I get to look for my next carving.
My chips do go in the garden bed too.
Luckily I live back in the woods so when I get done with a bunch of sanding or whatever messy job, I strip to my shorts out in the driveway turn-around and shake out my clothes before putting them in the washer.
Good thread, but now you all know some of my secrets, hope Dr Joe don't read this.

When asked if you'd like some chips you immediately think they are referring to wood chips.

You're addicted if - -

When the ad on the TV mentions "relief," you jump up only to find they're talking about headaches or constipation.
