I'm here.

I'm covered in sawdust.

Feel like I ate the whole tree!

The postings say "today" because there was some action on the thread today--either the message was written today or someone responded today.

As far as where everyone is...I can't really respond for others, but I don't post every day because sometimes I read a posting or several postings, but don't have anything to say that hasn't already been said by someone else. When there's questions asked, it seems to generate more responses than when a posting is made with just a statement. Seems like the day of the week makes some difference. For instance, I am not retired, and while I read this site nearly every day, I don't usually post responses except on weekends when I have more time to try to read EVERY posting.

We also tend to do more here during the winter when we don't have yards to mow and other outdoor chores.

I agree with Donna - sometimes I quickly glance through the messages and if nothing specific appears for which I'm an expert, I don't take the time to post a response. I also don't really like to do "me too" posts - although if someone posts a photo of a carving that I think is especially good, I'll comment on it. Not being critical at all - I just prefer to "stand off to the side and watch what's going on".

My wife says I'm a terrible bore at cocktail parties; she won't allow me to talk about myself, and I usually don't care to listen to others discuss, religion, politics, and their golf game. She, on the other hand, would talk to a fence post if no human was around, and in less than 5 minutes, she'd know when the fence post was put in the ground, how old the tree was it came from, what species it was, what kind of fruit or nut it had, it's leaf shape, and preference for weather...

Ah well, come next June, it's our 40th anniversary, so I must be doing something right.

Claude

It fluctuates alot here. If you go back to other posts, you'll see how busy this crew can be with family obligations, work, house projects, etc. We're all just living our lives and getting here as time and energy will allow.

I'm here! Every day at 0600. At least people pretend to listen to me on this forum. My wife quit years ago and now encourages my silence.

Like Lynn, I'm an early attendee. First place I head with a cup in my hand, to work open the eyes and unscramble the brain ...... so far, no luck with the latter! Been too busy lately to do much more than read up on posts. Have had contractors in on Thursday, Friday and back Saturday replacing flooring. I don't handle noise or confusion well! So my carving and communications have suffered.

Default Claude--

Your post looks like I wrote it about me and my wife. From now on can I just copy your posts and sign my name? It'll save me a lot of typing at which I'm not very good.
