Default Yin Yang Ball

Poinciana/Milo both woods from Hawaii. The Dragon is Poinciana and was wonderful wood to work in, with an outstanding grain. The ball is Milo. The dragon is a Shawn Cipa pattern, that I stylized, I love his patterns which test your abilities a lot. I use his patterns and my research, I will redraw the things I want in a carving...as I collect photos and books on things I carve. Both have a coat of BLO and spray matte enamel. The eyes are a Metallic green enamel. I like this carving more then my others as it has a more fluid moment that I like plus the wood grains of both match the carving.... great wood if you ever have a chance to try them.... Di

Di,

That is a very beautiful job of carving. The grain of the wood really enhances it. You should be very proud.
