Default Ye Olde Village Sign

Hey guys

I just thought I would share with you my good friend Peter Schwartz's work, here is a picture of a traditional English village sign. Carved from oak, painted and gold leaf finish.

This was carved 4 years ago and Peter and I just put it back in place.

I hope you enjoy.

Its carved on both sides, there are also 2 date shields that are tobe fixed just under the sign onto the post.

Steel bars run through the morticed boards.

Thanks

That's awsome, lots of hard work went into that sign. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Dave

The average charge for a sign is 4000.00 pounds, that would be about 6000-8000 dollars, Peter is about to refurbish another village sign he made 9 years ago, the village is called Earls Barton.

Lead based paints are used, very durable!
