Thanks for the compliments guys! And Garon, thanks for including me in with 'known' carvers, sure haven't ever thought of myself as that!

I can't speak for the others you mentioned, but I imagine they feel the same way I do about my article. My hope would be to inspire someone to try something different, maybe a little out of their 'comfort zone'. In doing that though, I would hope they would strive to make the piece their own, not just feel that they have to make an exact carbon copy of mine or they had failed.

I guess what I'm saying is I'd love to see what my ideas and techniques would inspire in others. That would make the article a total success, as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks again! Deborah

Great piece Deborah. I hope to put my angle of Norse carvings into a box like yours very soon.

Deborah, just finished reading your article in the currentWCI magazine. Wonderful work as usual and very well written direction. Gives me hope that I could make a simular one some day for my granddaughters. Looks like a lot of work, but you certainly were up to the task.

Deb....I finally recieved my copy and had a chance to read your article. Well done! Your fairy box is stunning, you make the process seem so simple! But, I'm sure if I tried one, my results would differ in extremes!!!

Congratulations , a great article.

That is an amazine piece of work. Great ability, and imagination. Had to go over that article several times to grasp the quality of the work, very well done.

It's a sad day when a trip to the dentist is considered a night out on the town! haha!

Anyway, after my appt. tonight, I took advantage of some time away and went to Barnes N Noble. While browsing the magazines, I came across your article. What a nice surprise! At first, I was just skimming thru and saw the fairy. It immediately reminded me of your work and sure enough...there you were! Congratulations! It looks great!

Thanks Jillsy, glad you enjoyed it! I hope your trip the dentist was a good one....just for a cleaning or check up....not for fillings or root canals!! Deborah
