Default working wood pliers

I know out there somewhere there is a or more than one pattern or instructions on how to make/ carve a working pair of pliers from one piece of wood, but for the life of me i can't find it. I even thinnk it was published in WCI or one of the other carving mags. any help would be appreciated in finding it John s.

As with 98% of these type of questions my answer is "Buy a copy of "Whittling and Woodcarving" by E.J. Tangerman. This little book contains a LOT of information and has patterns for many "whimsys" like pliers, pocketknives, ball-in-cage, chains, etc..
