| | A work in progress! Hi guys, since it's been asked about I put a couple pictures of my Fairy on the teapot in the Carver's Gallery. If you want to check out some clearer pictures go to the second link below, the Epson Photo Album site one. I put larger pictures on there.
She's not finished, the teapot isn't done. The handle is and the lid is except for a few touch ups. The design on the bottom is 'sketched' in with paint, lots and lots of detailing left to do on that!! Hope you like her, I pretty happy with how she's turning out....especially since I'm keeping her!! Callynne |

| | Re: A work in progress! Just an absolutely amazing piece. The tea pot, the fairy, the carving, the painting, just can't get over the detail. No imperfection to catch your eye. That is truly great!! |

| | Re: A work in progress! My wife collects teapots and she wants this one. ( I knew I shouldn't have teased her with it) she called it "really sweet", I think it's just terrific carving! Don |

| | Re: A work in progress! Thanks everybody, I'm so glad you like her!! Hugh, I had to smile when I read what you said about no imperfections to catch the eye! I didn't realize how uneven and lumpy my teapot looked until I started painting it. I keep mentioning it and hubby finally told me the other day..."It's NOT a teapot, it's a carving of a teapot, it's not going to be perfect, I don't want to hear about it again" Ha! Ha!
I do wish I'd been a bit more observant when I was carving it, but at the time getting it round was such a pain that I thought I'd done it good enough...oh....here I go, mentioning it again! Sorry!!
Thanks again for all your compliments, all in all I'm very happy with her and even happier that you all like her!! Callynne | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
