Default Woodspirit Study Guide by Jan Oegema

I'm not sure where this question needs to be placed so if it's in the wrong catagory one of the moderators can shift it.

I see where the subject book is being advertised in an email from Fox Chapel. I read through the one review of the combo offer and it wasn't very helpful.

My question is, are the photographs in color and are they clear enough, concise enough, and numerous enough, for the average bear to follow along to turn out a project in lieu of a hands on instructor?

The study stick that goes with the combo offer really doesn't interest me as I've never found much use for a study stick. In fact I traded my last study stick away to Thomp for one of his knives.

I have Skylar Johnson's small 46-page book on carving woodspirits and it's a great book except it's not in color and in my opinion some of the steps are hard to follow. Not being in color, some of the photographs aren't really clear and deffinitive.

I was just wondering if Jan Oegema's book improves on these issues.
