Whittler.....Please post a pic of the relief piece. I have several thin pieces of bark and have been looking for what to do with them. Sounds real interesting your work.

I got them posted using this cheap camera I bought for hunting trips. It definately does a better job outside in good light. If I loose this camera on a hunting trip I shore haven't lost anything

They are done much like the full woodspirit you have in your photo album. Just cut the base on the bandsaw first. That way they can stand on thier own.

I like carving wood spirits, they all seem to have their own personality. I do have trouble with noses. they all seem to look alike. My wife don't like the way I do them either. Any suggestions on noses? Looking forward to any help I can get.
