| | wooden sword I guess I got board with some of my carvings and just let my mind wonder a bit. This is a piece of mountain laurel that is 30'' long and almost 3'' wide.It may look sort of simple but it took a bit of time w/a draw knife.I am thinking of doing this again but longer and more viking looking.I gave it to my 15 yr old
son and he loved it. |

| | Re: wooden sword You'll have to start carving a collection Woodtrapper. s like that start to take off as viewers sometimes appreciate novel carvings. Now you need to carve him a sheath to keep his edge.

| | Re: wooden sword Thank you everyone for the kind comments on the sword.I have never painted my carvings but I am wondering if I should. It seems that wood spirits and walking sticks need that natural look.It is just a thought. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
