Default wooden sword

I guess I got board with some of my carvings and just let my mind wonder a bit. This is a piece of mountain laurel that is 30'' long and almost 3'' wide.It may look sort of simple but it took a bit of time w/a draw knife.I am thinking of doing this again but longer and more viking looking.I gave it to my 15 yr old
son and he loved it.

You'll have to start carving a collection Woodtrapper. s like that start to take off as viewers sometimes appreciate novel carvings. Now you need to carve him a sheath to keep his edge.

Thank you everyone for the kind comments on the sword.I have never painted my carvings but I am wondering if I should. It seems that wood spirits and walking sticks need that natural look.It is just a thought.
