I need some mallet tools and saw this set, a pretty good price too, was wondering if anyone knows anything about this brand? http://www.dickblick.com/zz330/31/pr...amp;ig_id=1911

Hi-Ho
Never saw this brand, but for the money it seems like a good buy.

Hi_Ho, Just for fun try this site:

I've bought tools from them and they have been great to deal with. Hope this helps? Jim

That looks to be a pretty good deal, tools, mallet, stones and roll. All depends on the quality of the blades. Too bad you couldn't talk to someone who has a set and get their impressions. Perhaps the seller could provide a name or two ?

I ran into the same difficulty when considering this set

They were expensive, but really worth the investment.

Well I received a reply from 'Texas woodcarvers' and he said they were American made and a very good quality. Unless I see a better price, I think I will try some. Hope someone on here has some experience with them and will advise.

Hi_Ho
I have dealt with Woodcraft for the past 15yrs and they are great to work with , 100 percent satisfied with their products..they also sell Flexcut which are made in Erie,PA. They either have 30 or 90day return policy if unsatisfied no questions asked.

Hi Bill, I have dealt with WoodCraft for about the same amount of time too. I ordered a set of woodlathe (3) high speed steel gouges from them (expensive). I used them for about a year or so. Never did like them. One day I happened to lay one on a table with the handle overhanging the edge of the table. It became quite cleat why I didn't like them. The steel gouges were inserted into the wooden handles at an angle! I sent them back to WoodCraft and they sent me a new set of gouges and shipping costs. The new gouges were perfect and I used them all the time. What a difference between the new ones and the old ones. I've bought a lot of things from them and never had any complaint at all. I thought sure I'd have some trouble with the gouges as they were way out of warranty. I like to deal with them. They always make it right to your satisfaction. Jim

I like what woodcraft has as well.....just too darn expensive! And most times you can find the same product somewhere else for less money...too bad, like I said, I like their site and products. :-[ :

Hello Hi ho Silver
I am not famillar with them
I went to the site and looked at them
They are not cheap but the price seems to be a lot less expensive than some of the other brands
From looking at the picture, they seem to be quality made
