Default Woodcarving article of interest

Not often you see a woodcarver featured in the local paper. Don't know if Jeff is a member here but I am sure hoping to meet him at some point.

Thanks. I'm going to give him a call this weekend. He lives near a co-worker friend of mine.

Well I got the nerve and called Jeff and discovered that he just started carving; he had no idea there were any carving magazines or message boards, so I invited him to join. The article led him to receive quite a few phone calls from carvers in the area and an abundance of wood. Many of them are in our 40s, novices, busy, and not active in the local woodcarvers group, and didn't know carvers in our peer group existed. So hopefully this will lead to some good friendships.

Well done BBJones......I hope he joins us. Carving is a great form of therapy and it has kept me sane for many years.........well almost sane!
