Here are a couple of poplar spoons I did, inspired by Daddio's wood spirit spoons. These have less hair, so they may be Grand-Daddio spoons? Kitchen gnomes may be a better marketing name though. These are about 10" long and are finished with mineral oil. Comments and advice welcomed. I'm hoping to sell these at a craft show for about $25 each.

Excellent job on those fine spoons and good luck at the show. Poplar does make a nice spoon and you did well with these. Excellent!

Nice clean lines! They should sell well. I like the one with the pointy beard better.

Mike, having made a spoon or two myself, I can tell ya, those are a couple of beauties. Man, youv'e done a fine job on them and I think they will sell very quickly, and you're price is certainly reasonable. Thanks for posting. Cliff Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!" |
