Come on Gulf, be honest. I've been down in the "Sunshine" for over 2 weeks now and it would not be bad if the wind wasn't coming out of the north at about 40 mph. Sun yes, warn "NO".

| There is a small carving show held in June at the Carousel Museum in Bristol Ct. There is also a large carving show held in Mystic Ct. in early July. The New England Wood Carvers have a how in Eastern Mass. just outside Boston in October.

Sorry Paul, this is not normal for Fl., I think the average this time of the year is 70. This is my 5th winter here and by far the coldest, on the bright side no snow to showel. ![]() Dave Last edited by Gulf Coast Handyman; 02-11-2010 at 08:38 PM. |

Hi Ripton, I was going to give you the same info as Doc did, above. One thing to add, the Fall show for New England Wildlife Artisans was cancelled last year. I don't know if they're going to have it for 2010. Check out their web site for more info. I've been there a couple times. Also, there is a really good decoy/bird carving show at RI audobon (sp?) in Bristol in the fall. Lots of carvers there, and a few demo's but no one selling tools, wood, etc, just their carvings. Alot of great talent there! Mark |

Thanks Gulf Coast for the calendar of shows. I'm definitely trying to talk my other half into a trip south - we just got a heaping helping of snow here in ATL. Too much for me. |
