I am visiting the Chicago area in the month of june and wood like to find out if there is any wood carving club events/meetings/happenings that I could atend.

It would be nice to know if there is a directory of wood carving clubs somewhere. It would be a good book to have when you are traveling. Someone should establish one.

Chip Chats lists seminars and carving shows, all over the U.S and Canada. It's not an index, but you can find groups/schools/clubs near you. One call would probably get you pointed in the right direction.
