Default Wizard Talking Stick

This is a small Story or Talking Stick I was asked to carve for a little girl. I did one before and it was quite popular. The beard and whiskers have a sparkle glaze that's hard to see with the flash. I wanted to give him a magical look. I carved him out of basswood, gave parts of him a wash of acrylics and then sealed him with oil and satin sealer. He is approx. 9 inches tall.

Thanks everyone. I tried something new with this carving and incorporated some shapes with the face.

Very neat talking stick Patrick!! Well thought out and very nice details. Most Native Americans had talking sticks or feathers where the one that held the talking stick in thier meetings was the one that was able to talk at that time. You did a nice job on this talking stick.

Patrick, A very cleanly carved and finished piece. Great job, one that will be valued very much.
