Default Wizard Pen

Here's a wizard that I carved from one of those pen kits, the design is my own though. I've done golfers and fisherman also as gifts, I was wonder if anyone else has done them since they are minitures, especially after the jenga challenge

Mel! How do you carve such a small face and keep all your fingers? Just kidding I love your wizard pen. We have a Mountain Artist Guild member who turns some beautiful pens from all kinds of woods.

I'll second Nancys post, that is an inspiration to try one. Used to make feather pens, but never something that intricate. Great job.

Very good Mel. I like your design a lot. I too am impressed with the small details and the idea of carving a pen.

Mel;
You must have 20/20 + vision to carve something so tiny. That is awesome.

Thanks Folks, I use cheaters to see closer. I also use a scroll saw to speed up the process. I just cut one side view and get to carving, this one toke about 8 hours total.

Mel, that is great!! You used a scroll saw to speed it up? I can't imagine cutting something that small with a saw, even a scroll saw!!

It's really a terrific little carving, I'm inspired too! Thanks for sharing him with us! Deborah
