This week end I entered 2 carvings at the Sacramento ( california) carving show and won 2 blue ribbons.....of all the things that helped we to win I can thank old Lynn Doughty .....He made me look at my carvings in a different way. not just carve a stick but how to present that stick...what can I do to make people's eyes look at my stick. I do not have a picture of my second carving of ...cowboy boots....I actually carved 4 pair of the boots ....going to give 1 pair to each to each of our four boys..... talked to the judge she said that the horse shoe...like on Lynn's boots...really caught her eyes by them not just having a plain stand for the boots to sit on.but having them sit on real horse shoes, I don't know if you can tell but my buttons are ready to pop.

If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert , in five years there'd be a shortage of sand.
