Default Wild goose chase

But for what it's worth, I picked up this carving in a little collectables shop recently and thought I would post it here on the off chance that someone might recognise the style or even the carvers initials which are HB.
She is in good condition and is 4 inches or 100mm. in height. Looks slightly Scandinanian to me and her pose seems a little strange. Would be grateful for any input or suggestions as to her origins.
Regards
John
