Default Wild Bill

: Saw a bronze of Wild Bill Hickock on a website more than a year ago and just recently I picked up a Wall Street catalog in our libraries magazine exchange and there was the bronze again. I didn't know if I wanted to do it 3 dimensional or as a deep relief so I finally decided to try it in clay first. This is my first attempt with clay. Picked up some movies and spent most of the day in the recliner working with that clay. This is a new medium for me, other than throwing on a wheel and I wan't any good at that either!!!! Pam

Hi Pam We visited a bronze works in eastern Oregon last summer. Watched the artist working with clay. I have used clay to rough out figures and play with some details. It is a change to add material instead of removing it. Have not used the stuff since 2nd grade. Go for it. Ron A.

Hey Pamela, I just got back from the Black Hills, and we were at Crazy Horse Mt. There was a bronze of Wild Bill done by Korchezks (sp) Daughter. I think it's the one they have on his grave site in Deadwood. I took a picture of it. it was awesome. Gergie,

Hi Pam, I tried the clay and wasn't good at it. I like to use wood and just carve it.
